Yesterdays Price

Overview

Overview

Overview

This painting is inspired by the line “yesterday’s price is not today’s price” from Pusha T. It’s about growth, value, and the idea that who you were yesterday isn’t the same as who you are today.

I used light blue and dark blue to create depth and contrast, and on top I added a yellow crown with drippers. The crown stands for success and recognition, while the dripping gives it a raw, unpolished vibe — just like the track.

It’s a piece about change and leveling up. Nothing stays the same. Yesterday’s price will never be today’s.

I started this piece without overthinking, letting the phrase guide me. The blues came first, layering light and dark to set the mood. The crown was the finishing touch — done with drippers to keep it imperfect and alive. I wanted the process itself to feel as raw as the message: leveling up, changing, not staying the same.
